It was heartening when BBMP introduced self-assessment of property tax warding off corrupt revenue officials. Public response has been very encouraging and extremely good in tax collection amount. Incentive of 5% rebate for payment in apr was mostly used by majority of them.Issue of computerised receipt across was very thoughtful. In some cases due to system failure or current failure some could not get receipt immeiately. owever, it is expected the entries would go into system or future needs. Here is a case where tax has been paid on 21 Apr 2010, Appln counterfoil duly sighned in acknowledgement of cheque, there is an entry in Bank pass book. But system refuses to accept, agree! why this fallacy? will the cncerned rev officer look into this. I am not permitted to pay this year tax before 30th Apr for no fault of mine(comp receipt was not made avilable last year for unknown reasons!)

Dear Nagaraja Sir,

If you are unable to pay property tax before apr 30, still you can pay your property tax till may 30 and get rebate 5 %. In an article by commonfloor.com How To Make Online Payment of BBMP Property Tax 2011-12 it says BBMP has extended property tax rebate deadline Till May 30
