We live in Jaraganahalli off Kanakapura Road. I had purchased this house in 2007 and till now I haven't got the Khata transferred. But, I have been paying the property tax regularly. When I started process for getting the the Khata transfer, I learnt that, my house is in a notified industrial layout (notified for Silk related industry in 1981 and got converted from agricultural to industrial). So, somebody told that, constructing a residential house in industrial layout is illegal and khata will not be given for this property! I had purchased this house and I have the original approved plan for the house. Also, the previous owner had CMC khata. So, is it true that, constructing a house in industrial layout is illegal and will the BBMP reject Khata transfer application? What other options I have for getting the Khata? Regards, Narendra
