When cooking gas connection came to Bangalore way back in early 1970s there were very few takers. Now it has percolated every modern kitchen. The subsidy given by Govt. makes it more attractive even for non-domestic use,unlawfully. yes, there is need to curb this, but why put legal connections to hardship. There is no link between electricity supply and gas connection like in Mumbai. Why our Govt. tries to replicate under unfavourable comparison? Authorities have every right to visit each consumer, verify genuinity, then take ecision to dis connect/cancel. simply by wrong approach disconnecting 25 lakh connections is criminal on their part.
