Friday 28th Nov, I was on my way in my bike to Delmai Junction from Bannergatta Road. BMTC buses were stopped for pickup in the middle of the road at JP nagar 3rd phase bus stop. I gave way for the people who haphazardly crossed the road, but the Volvo behind me was honking continuously. After waiting for the bus to start I got chance to move forward. An auto with shrill noise emitting black cloud of smoke was choking my breath. I had to overtake it, two people dressed in white emerged through the black cloud – Traffic Police. The constable replied “go behind the traffic police Jeep”. Another traffic constable inside the jeep told “see this image; you are driving at 59km per hour. Speed limit for bike on road is 50km per hr”. "I had to overtake the auto Sir, it was choking my breath" Non of my explanation was accepted. Finally after asking for receipt twice, I received my 300rs fine receipt.

I too agree that 50km per hour is too less speed limit for bike and 60 for car.
In this case 59km/hr should have been allowed.
Only thing we can do is make a note of these places where they stand and avoid them during last week of every month.
