THYAGARAJAN PARAMASIVAN 06:46 PM, October 28th, 2009

BBMP had recently initiated action against Cine posters in Gandhi Nagar area. But, the beautiful avenues of Cox Town, Cleveland Town, Fraser Town , Benson Town areas are being literally disfigured by Handbills of AIRTEL Broadband advertisements. The trees in the entire area covering Promenade Road, Coles Road, St Johns Road have been used by AIRTEL staff for stapling their advertisements. When one started removing them, they have started pasting the bills on all the lamp posts and Junction Boxes. Number of Emails have been sent to BBMP but there is no response so far. I have even sent mails to newspapers but still BBMP has not initiated any action. I think some one should fil a PIL against AIRTEL to stop this nonsense.

Mr Bharatlalmeena's order does not apply to newly
formed BBMPs, I feel so. Film poster are all over the walls on the KRpuram and ITPL Road. This road comes under the jurisdiction of BBMP Mahadevapura. May I see some action.

I have called the BBMP officers below to understand the advertisement notice display/removal policy but no one answers the phone. The BBMP website provides no information on the pertinent rules.

Mr. B.E. Govindaraj, Joint Commissioner, Advertising and Marketing: 94806-83005, Office: 2297-5557
Ms. Ramya, Assistant Commissioner, Marketing: 94806-83163
