Hi, Can you please guide me about following queries? 1) When will be the online property tax payments for 2010-11 be available on www.BBMP.gov.in? 2) None of the email ids given on BBMP website are ever responded. I've sent tonnes of emails on these numbers, but did not get response to any one of them. Seems like nobody read those emails. Is there any PRO email id where we get response from? 3) Nobody looks at the complaints raised in Spandana. Is there any other complaints system which works on BBMP.gov.in. 4) Even though I paid property tax for 2008-09 & 2009-10 thru SAS applications, my property tax details are still not updated in property tax paid list. How can I get my property tax payment details updated there? Whom should I contact? It seems the people at BBMP Help Center don't understand anything about websites, etc. Please guide.

Dear Mr.Vishal Bhatkar,
Your Grumble about BBMP and online complaints is just one in a lakh. Every citizen using this system is facing the same problem. But one thing is certain that your mails are read and closed, as this is very much evident by the copying of the "STEP BY STEP CALCULATIONS & PAYING PROPERTY TAX" and publishing it in print media under the seal of the commissioner, BBMP.
As regards the payment of tax for the year 2010-11 starts only after that financial year starts and online payments will be intimated in leading news papers accordingly.
It will be kind of you if you furnish the payment dates of your tax to find out the reason for not being updated on site.
The staff including the Inspectors at many centres are not aware of the websites as they are not trained and are not computer literate. Even the data entry is being offloaded to private agencies and is one of the main reason for the delay in updating the information.
If you really have a problem with BBMP, you have to use the old method of writing / printing the complaint and submitting in person / registered post under acknowledgement.

Dear Mr. Prakash,
You sound very offended in the way you seem to be defending and justifying the inefficiency of the whole system. It is almost a year since 2009-10 tax got collected and you seem to be ok with the private agency doing the data entry at its own pace. Why do we have this attitude that it is government work so it can be done slowly? Either the agency is hopeless or the officer who is working with this agency is inefficient as he is unable to get the work out of them. Wake up Sir it is beyond 21st Century and things have changed. The world is in the fast mode and you are still left far behind. If I were in one of those officer's place, I would have whipped the agency for not completing the task and changed it to some one better who can do it. Train your staff; it does not look professional saying that they are not computer literate. It is not rocket science that they can't learn.

Dear Mr.NK,
I am neither offended nor justifying, but suffering along with you for the inefficiency of government. I am one among you and do not belong to neither any department nor the corporation. As you have rightly said you would have whipped, I would have shot them so that they would not betray others.
My condolences to you for being one among us to suffer with such an inefficient system.

Dear Mr. Prakash,
I am with you on your comments. In fact my experience is different. All my tax payments are posted in the web site uptodate (2009-10). The staff at BBMP help center are well informed, courteous and helpful. But this time for the year 2010-11, we could get hand written receipt only for the payment. I understand the computerization of records are underway and not yet ready. The BBMP staff are used for many other functions like managing Elections, Census enumeration etc.which certainly affects their routine work.
Further the change in Ward Numbers have caused confusion and additional work to BBMP. This could have been avoided if BBMP retained the Old Ward Numbers to the existing Corporation Wards.

Dear Mr.AB,
You are right, but the power and post do always rest with the inefficient lot. We have no other go rather than to suffer with such an inefficient system. This is our freedom of democracy.

Hi,
Thanks for this information.
I paid these taxes last year on 10/12/2009.
To which office do I need to submit my receipts, etc?
Can you please let me know the address of the BBMP office or help center to submit my complaint and my receipts for getting them updated in BBMP online property tax payment data?
Please guide.

The last date for paying property tax for the year 2010-11, with a rebate of 5% is 30.4.10. Apart from paying tax at the counter there is option for paying on line also. Last year, it worked and I paid
tax on line. On 18th April, 2010, I paid tax on line but the receipt cannot be printed. The amount is already deducted from my credit card, but payment details(for this year) are not available. I have the new Application#, but when I click for it, the answer is' application not generated' . I Tried to contact BBMP helpline numbers: 080-22247627/22133029. The first number is either not existent or defective. The second number is permanently engaged. Also sent an email to: bbmpsas@bbmp.gov.in,dcadm@bbmp.gov.in but no response received as yet.
From my experience, it seems there is none to manage these helpline services The quicker BBMP sort out these problems, the better it is, so that
people can pay tax online before the deadline. I would request you to advise the concerned department to rectify this problem immediately and to extend the deadline upto 30.5.2010 for paying property tax with a rebate of 5%.

we have paid tax for 2010-2011 in Apr 2010 using rebate of 5%, we have counterfoil of application submitted duly sighned by official, there is an entry in Bank pass book for having encashed the cheque, still not allowed to pay tax for 2011-2012, which sas previous year tax due with interest and penalty. It is very clear the official concerned has not uploaded this in their system. It is possible when tax payers are around 35-40 lakhs. why put sincere tax payers to difficulty?

Kindly refer my querry dt.34.08.2010, wherein I forgot to mention that my application for payment of taxes for the FY 2010./11 was ignored as there was no tax liability consequent to receipt of the appellate order after payment of taxes for the years 2008-09 and 2009-2010 but beforer the payment of tax for the yr. 2010-11. As there was refund <I deducted the amount of refund due to me and therefore there was no liability for payment of taxes. Still I was left a refund of Rs. 148/- which I claimed while making the payment for the year 2011-12 and the balance of tax was paid. This has been realised and I have been issued with a receipt. I understand the BBMP has generated a demand against me assuming, I have not paid the tax for the FY 2010-11 alongwith penalty and interest. I have not been served with the demand I only say this demand in the website. I would request you to let me know who I can ask the BBMP to verify my application for payment of taxes submitted on 29th April, 201o. You had raised a doubt the difference in the PID No. Upto 2011-12 my area fell within SRINAGR which was ward no. 53. From 2011-12 it is within GIRINAGAR ward no. 162. I hope you are satisfied with the explanation. M R Seshan, 080-26729578 (Mobile 99450-33506) e.mail. mrseshan@rediffmail.com 16th May, 2011.

Dear Mr.MRS,
Sorry for the delay in responding due to the system failure to intimate me of your posting. By now probably you might have completed your task of paying / verifying.
If not successful please revert back with a copy to my personal ID, to serve you promptly.
As regards the PID #, there is no change, though the ward number and name changed. Your old PID # stands even today and for the next year also. If any changes made, you will be intimated in writing. Please do not assume yourself and change it yourself.
ThanX.

Dear Sir,
I had submitted the form properly for computerization but they have made mistake while entering the details in system. I paid the tax for 2010-11 for full year last time and later came to know in printed receipt everything was wrong including PID number but only name is rite. The details in acknowledgement which i received for submitting the form is rite but in system it is wrong. So i dint pay the property tax for this year still. So what can i do and how to get the details to be changed in system. Kindly guide me. We have shown the last year receipt to BBMP office immediately stating that all the details are wrong. So the reply from them for that is They have edited it manually i.e. in writing and later signed on it but in system it remains same. So kindly guide me what to do next.
I saw your previous discussions it was good. So i am here for a solution from you.
Thanks
