Bangalore is full of cars. Some have bought it for prestige and some out of necessity. We cannot object to someone owning a car or many cars. Only issue is that of parking. If residents live in apartments they will park it in marked parking spots. But not all persons live in apartments. And those who own a independent house might not have thought of owning a car at the time ofconstruction. But now there is a parking problem and they park their vehicle on the road. This scene can be seen even in posh localities. My suggestion would be, cars should be purchased only if one is having a parking place. Alternatively BBMP should charge rent for using the road for parking, and inconveniencing the public at large. Say Rs 1000 per month (It should be prohibitive, a nominal amount won't do) This would get them a good revenue. THE BBMP SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH THIS SUGGESTION; LET US SEE THE REACTION.

I m fully agreement with Mr. swamynathan. Even people have fancy cars but nohouse of their own. They are simply tenant. As far as BBMP is concerned they want free parking only. last time they have cancelled the Parking tender itself because the car owners are so poor they can,t afford the nominal parking fee.
Only a strong public opinion will force BBMP to enforce it strictly including building bye laws for parking not shopping complexes in the basements. let us hope for something better from NEW WARD COUNCILLORS if BANGALOREAN elect some really good councillors. keep it up.

parking of vehicles in front of the residences day and night is nuisance, as visitors leave in a short time. Our privacy is intruded apart from disturbance,(using reverse horn etc).Naturally residents protest.Afterall a resident should have a say.

parking infront of the houses to be protested as privacy is lost apart from disturbance ,thereby residential fabric is lost.those who try to park should listen to residents request for not parking to avoid unpleasentness.
